We implement Google Analytics to monitor the performance of the sites we build. If you already have a Google Analytics account, you’ll need to provide us access; however, if you don’t, we’ll get everything set up for you.
If you did a website buyout or purchased the website in full, then yes. However, if you opted for one of our leased website packages, it works just like a car lease – it’s not owned, it’s leased. You can buy the rights to the website outright at any time in order to gain full ownership of all systems and aspects of the website.
Never! We believe in providing complete satisfaction to our clients. We offer unlimited revisions on the website design, layout, and content.
Please keep in mind our design mock-ups are generated based on the answers you provide in your questionnaires. The more complete answers and clearer directions you give, the fewer revisions you'll need. Extensive revisions can also affect your estimated website live date.
This can depend on a few factors, such as who your current email is hosted through. Some email hosting sites do not transfer well but we will help you cross this bridge if the issue comes up.
Yes, we keep a permanent copy of your website the day we launch it live. All the backups after that come from the hosting company, but we manage that for you!
You could; however, if you have a maintenance add-on or have a leased website, then changes to your site are included, so why not let a dedicated professional handle the task for you? All it takes is one quick email or phone call to your account manager.
Informational/service websites can be purchased outright for $3,280 and eCommerce sites for $4,360 at the onset of initiating our services—no monthly payment required.
Leased websites can be bought out at any time; the buyout price is reduced by 2% each month. The starting balance is $3,280 (or $4,360 for eCommerce sites).
You can cancel your web lease subscription at any time by calling our office or emailing your account manager. Cancellation requests that occur within six months of service are subject to a $450 cancellation fee. As soon as we receive your notice, the leased website will be suspended.
You can also choose to buy the rights to the website at any time; the rate is prorated at 2% per month.
We do keep the files for 60 days so you can restart your lease subscription if you change your mind. Data owned by you, such as content you provided and logo designs, are provided to you upon cancellation of your contract. All other content, design, and data remains proprietary of MerchantSide Marketing Group.
It takes approximately 30-40 business days (6-8 weeks) to complete a site from design to live. The time frame is highly dependent on the return (and completion) of the questionnaires we send and your feedback and response at each phase or inquiry. So, if it takes you a week to return the initial questionnaires or provide feedback or approval on a design, it can delay the projected live date of your website.
Hosting, by itself, is just a means to provide the world access to your website through the internet. It’s where your website “lives” and hosting companies do not build custom websites.
Unfortunately, no. The reason being that accepting the responsibility for web coding we have not written can compromise our platform or the third party’s code may not work as it is intended on our platform. However, if you like certain aspects of your website, such as the design or a form functionality, we can create a similar version but with up-to-date coding behind it.
YES! Once you complete the questionnaires we send, we’ll begin working on a content and design strategy. Within 7-10 days you will receive at least 2 different graphic mock-ups. You’ll be asked to review and provide feedback—commenting on the things you like, don’t like, or any changes you would like to have made on the design and layout. Only once you approve a design mock-up will we move to the official build out phase.
Yes, if you do not have a branded email (Info@CompanyName.com) we can set it up for you.
We believe in doing what we are good at, and that is creating websites, not hosting. However, we will walk you through how to set up a hosting account and we will manage the account for you, including transferring what we are building onto a live server. We allow our clients to choose their hosting service desired, but we highly recommend: DreamHost or Siteground.
YES! If you opted for the annual maintenance package or are on a leased website subscription, you can request changes to your live website for no additional charge.
You can request changes to just about anything on the website—if it can be changed in the code, we can do it! This list is not conclusive, but we can modify the following:
• Adding, moving, or substituting photos or videos
• Modifications to the web content
• Adding or removing products
• Stock or price adjustments
• Modify homepage graphics
• Add reviews (including embedding them from Google or Facebook)
• Change the color links become when clicked or hovered over
• Replace the response customers get when they complete an online form
• Change page headers or images
• Swap out monthly promotions/sales
• And much more (just ask, our account managers hate saying ‘no’ to our clients!)
